      Age 88 died Sunday December 6, 1992 at St. Paul Nursing Home, Kaukauna. Harvey was born November 19, 1904 in Little Chute, and was the son of the late Ardina and Martin Hartjes. He worked at Kimberly Clark for 40 years, and retired in 1966. Harvey enjoyed baseball, football, bowling, hunting and gold. He managed baseball teams and was involved in organizing Senior Gold Leagues for many years. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary (Sanderfoot) Hartjes; a son and daughter-in-law; Robert and Mary Jane Hartjes, Little Chute; five grandchildren and their spouses: Dr. Thomas and Laurie Hartjes, Verona; Dr. Bradley and Sue Hartjes, Middleton; Valerie and Howard Grigg, Madison; Stacey and Michael Sanders, Madison; and Dr. Joel and Lindsay Hartjes, Austin, Texas. Harvey had seven great-grandchildren; Elizabeth, Julia, Kristin, Michelle, Jennifer, Tyler and Ellen Hartjes. He is also survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law; Gregory and Aleata Hartjes, Appleton; and Victor and Ollie Hartjes, Little Chute; two sisters-in-law; Josephine VanLaarhoven, and Christine Hammen, Little Chute; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Raymond and Rosann Sanderfoot, Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday December 8, 1992 at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute with the Rev. Msgr. James Vandenhogen officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
