- Kollath, Harrison Arthur
Harrison Arthur Kollath, of Good Shepherd Home, Seymour, was born January 16, 1910 to Arthur and Stella Kollath of Seymour and passed into eternal life on September 17, 2005. Harrison married Lillie Barth on September 12, 1936 and lived in Black Creek where they owned the Gamble Store until 1966.
Harrison was a member of the Cicero EUB Church for many years, where he sang in the choir. He was also active in the SPEBSQSA-the barbershop chorus and quartet society. Harrison served as president of the village of Black Creek. In 1966 Harrison and Lillie moved to Appleton, where he worked for the city until his retirement. In 2000 they moved to Seymour and in 2001 moved to Good Shepherd Home. They have been members of the United Methodist Church of Seymour.
Harrison was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Lillie his daughters: Judith (Lloyd) Schad of Highland Park, IL and Suzanne (Blake) Prelipp of Bailey, CO grandchildren: Jennifer (Thomas) Stancampiano of Boca Raton, FL Steven Harrison Prelipp of Ann Arbor, MI Laura (Daniel) Chambers of Matteson, IL and Amy (Jon) Matsumura of River Forest, IL great-grandchildren: Blake and Claire Matsumura and Paul Harrison Stancampiano. Harrison is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Arleta and Oren Augsberger of Elida, OH. He was the brother-in-law of Marie Veitch of Seymour and was "Uncle Harry" to many nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his brother Kenneth and sister Estelle (Flossie).
The family of Harrison is grateful for the loving care he received from the staff and volunteers at Good Shepherd Home.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, October 8th at the United Methodist Church of Seymour. Friends will be received following the service.
