    • Harold Wellens
      Harold L Wellens, 79, formerly of De Pere, died Friday, Sept. 12, in San Diego, Calif. He served in the Third Division from 1942 to 1945 during World War II.
      Mr. Wellens was employed at Van Drisse Motors in Green Bay until 1955 when he moved to Santa Monica, Calif., where he worked for General Telephone company and later for the Los Angeles county road department. After his retirement, he moved to San Diego.
      He married Leona Tippen in Boston, Mass., and she preceded him in death in May of 1967.
      Survivors are his second wife, Dorothy; a son, Harold Jr.; one daughter, Mrs. Tony (Paula) Cairo; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Zeta) Turriff, Mrs. Harold (Lucille) Secor and Mrs. Joe (Bette) Sarosiek. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ehtel O'Keefe Wellens; three brothers, Norbert, Robert, and Howard, and one sister, Marion Dopkins.
      Private funeral services were held in San Diego.
