  • Notes
    • Age 84, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2000 following a brief illness. Gene was born in the Town of Kaukauna on July 16, 1915, son of the late Clifford and Lucy (Busse) Lambie. On September 19, 1940 he married the former Patricia Oudenhoven at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Oneida; she survives. Gene was a lifelong dairy farmer in the town of Kaukauna, and after his retirement was employed by Fox Valley Wood Products. Gene will be remembered for his keen wit and his ability to keep everyone’s attention while telling a good story.

Survivors include his wife: Pat Lambie of Kaukauna; his four children: Linda (Dick) Tousey of Little Chute, Bob (Joy) Lambie of Roswell, Georgia, Donna (Larry) Ulrich of Kaukauna; Ric (Sherrie) Lambie of Douglasville, Georgia; twelve grandchildren: Michael (LuAnne) Tousey, Richard “Bucky” (Janice) Tousey, Jill (Jerry) Burgbacher, Tara (Matt) Fritsch, Corey (Joanne) Lambie, Cristy (Steve) Hotz, Greg (Emily) Lambie, Stephen Lambie, Tia-Marie Ulrich, Ryun Ulrich, Jesse Lambie, and Joshua Lambie; six great-grandchildren: Nic Tousey, Ian and Delaney Tousey, Austin Fritsch, John Karl Lambie, and Donita Lambie; six step-great-grandchildren: Sam and Shayna Chartier, Jeremy, Jayme, Joy, and Jill Burgbacher; a sister: Irma (Earl) Lintner of Chilton.

The funeral liturgy for Gene was held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 29, 2000 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. David Hoffman officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Friends called at the funeral home on Friday from 4 – 8 PM and again on Saturday at the church from 9 AM until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family established a memorial fund in Gene’s name.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful people who cared for Gene during his illness. They include the staff of the ICU at the Appleton Medical Center, the nurses on 4 North, and everyone at Parkside Care Center. Your love and concern was obvious to us all. Thank you so very much. Thanks also to the various Rosin boys who helped out on for the farm for so many years. Your generosity and assistance will never be forgotten.
