    • Ethel Mae Linzmeier, 97, Luxemburg, passed away on Saturday evening, November 16, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on September 10, 1916 in New Franken to the late Theodore and Florence (Laundrie) Schott. Ethel was a graduate of St. Kilian Parish School. She was an active member of the 4-H club and exhibited at the Brown County and State Fair. On September 15, 1942, she married Alvin Linzmeier at St. Kilian Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1997. Ethel and Alvin farmed together for 55 years. She worked at Larsen Canning and retired from Algoma Hardwoods in 1982. She was a past member of St. Amand's Church, Walhain and was currently a member at St. Thomas the Apostle, Sugar Bush. Ethel loved old time music and was an avid polka dancer.
