    • ERWIN W, LOPAS SUCCUMBS
Death claimed Erwin W. Lopas 74, Kaukauna on December 14, after a lingering illness. The deceased was a head beaterman
at Combined Locks mill at retirement in 1959 after 32 years with the firm.
He was a charter member of Bethany Lutheran church and a life member of VFW Post 3319 in Kaukauna. Mr. Lopas served with the United States Army in World War T.
Survivors include his wife Elsie; three daughters; one son; three brothers including
Walter Lopas, retired from Locks mill service; one sister; 8 grandchildren. Funeral services were held from Bethany Lutheran church Kaukauna, with interment at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
      Mr. Lopas was quiet, unassuming,
did his work well and seemed to shun the limelight.
As such, he had many friends and no enemies. Our sympathies go to the survivors.
