Ervan G. Hooyman, 238 Christine Ct., Kaukauna, age 52, died unexepectedly on Thursday, February 16, 1989, at his home. He was born September 24, 1936 in Appleton, the son of Nicholas and Angela (Joosten) Hooyman. Ervan had lived and worked in this area all of his life and was employed at Appleton Papers, Locks Mill. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (Van Dyke) Hooyman; three sons and daughters in-law; Mike and Ellen Hooyman, Little Chute; Steve and Mary Hooyman, Appleton; Tom and Vonnie Hooyman, Menasha; two granddaughters, Amy and Katie; his mother, Angela Hooyman, Appleton; a brother and sister in-law, Ron and Judy Hooyman, Appleton; a sister and brother in-law, Marilyn and Jack Kottke, Appleton; nieces and nephews; his mother in-law, Rosella Van Dyke, Kimberly; a sister in-law, Karen (Gerald) Dollevoet, Kimberly; a brother in-law, James Van Dyke, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Hooyman; and his father in-law, Emil Van Dyke. There will be a memorial mass at 1 p.m Saturday February 18, 1989, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauan, with Fr. Jack Mullarkey officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends after the mass in Friendship Hall in the church basement. A memorial fund has been established in his name. There will be no visitation at the Fargo Funeral Home in Kaukauna.
