    • Emmet M. O'Connor, 71, of 505 N. Badger avenue, a former member of the Outagamie county board and chairman of the town of Grand Chute, died unexpectedly this morning at his home. He was born May 9, 1888, in the town of Maple Grove, Manitowoc county. O'Connor was a member of the county board from 1932 until 1946 and, for a time served as its vice chairman. During his public service he was a member of the board's finance, illegal tax, airport, rules, pension, resolutions,building and grounds and mediation board committees.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a. m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic church, Appleton, with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Survivors include the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Russell Noyes, Appleton; four brothers, John and William, both of Appleton, James, Kaukauna, and Dr. Edwin, New Hampton, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Golden, Kaukauna, and Mrs.Jervas Flaherty, South Milwaukee.
