- Emerine Agnes Gay, 93, Green Bay, died peacefully, Thursday, May 3, 2012, at a local hospital. Born in Green Bay, July 11, 1918, she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline (Rentmeester) Pierquet. Emerine married Aloysius B. Gay who preceded her in death on February 23, 1993. Emerine was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church.
Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Great-Great Grandma had a passion for family, especially children, often babysitting for her grandchildren and others after her children were grown. She was an outstanding cook and baker, her door was always open and she had plenty to eat for all who entered and then some - everyone left happy and a few pounds heavier. She had the unique ability to make each of us feel as though we were her "favorite". She loved a good card game with family and friends. She enjoyed country music and had a sweet tooth for her "bun" bars.
She is survived by her children Joyce (James) Hopkins, Sandee Felix, Roger "Bud" (Yvonne) Gay, Steve (Julie) Gay, Julie (Kevin) Killeen and Jeff Gay. She is further survived by son in law - Joe Kraft and daughter in law Annette Gay. In addition, she is survived by her pride and joy: her 23 grandchildren, 21 ½ great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
Emerine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Angeline; husband Al; children: Judy Kraft, Wayne Gay and Donald Gay; son in law Bob Felix and granddaughter Amanda Gay. Her sisters: Alice Collier and Audrey Lawler and her brothers: Clarence, Alvin, Robert, Gordon and Raymond Pierquet.
Mom we are grateful you are no longer in pain; you were an angel on earth and now an angel in heaven. Say hi to Dad, Judy, Wayne, Don, Bob and Amanda for us - we're sure you are either cooking or playing cards already! We love you and miss you, we cherish the lifetime of memories you gave us.
A special thank you to all the family and friends who have been there for Mom and Dad over the years.
