- Menasha - Elmer C. Jandourek, 92, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton. He was born on October 13, 1925, in Casco, WI, the son of Charles and Antionette (Koss) Jandourek. Elmer was a Hortonville High School graduate, who then honorably served in the U.S. Navy, during WWII, aboard the SS San Jacinto from 1943 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Marion Steffens in May of 1951, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. Elmer was a great hunter and fisherman, who was a member of the Otter Street Fishing Club, and volunteered with the yearly kid's fishery. He was employed with American Can Company, retiring after 38 years. He will be fondly remembered for being a quiet man, loving father, and avid card player.
Elmer is survived by his wife: Marion; 3 children: Randy, Neenah; Kathy, Menasha; and Debbie (Jim) Moore, Bow, NH; 3 grandchildren: Mandy Jandourek, Sarah and Kyle Moore; a brother-in-law and best friend: Bob Schiefelbein; and many other relatives and friends.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents and 7 siblings: Richard, Charles, and Raymond Jandourek, Toni Klassen, Mabel Jandourek, Rose Steffens, and Cecelia Schiefelbein.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 am, on Monday, March 12, 2018, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, with Fr. Jim Hablewitz and Mary Krueger, Pastoral Leader officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass.
