      Merrill, Elaine J.


      Elaine J. Merrill, age 81, of Kaukauna, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, October 1, 2005. She was born on April 3, 1924 in Little Chute, daughter of the late William and Roseanne (Williams) Wildenberg. Elaine married James Merrill and he preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Elaine enjoyed her Thursday card club and trips to Oneida. Mrs. Merrill drove school bus for Kobussen for 20 years and her smiling face will always be remembered while tending bar at Schuler’s Shack.

      She is survived by her daughter, Toni Egan and special friend Brian Weiss, Kaukauna; a grandson, Shane Egan; brother, Dan Wildenberg, Combined Locks; sister-in-law, Lori (Don) Phillips, Combined Locks; special friend, Pauline “Punk” Schuler; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill and a sister-in-law, Carol Wildenberg.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Udulutsch O.F.M. Capuchin officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Combined Locks. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass.
