      Van Lanen, Edna S. Edna S. Van Lanen, 95, De Pere, passed away Thursday Oct. 12, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born April 21, 1911, to the late Joseph and Angela (Cielecki) Kazik in Suamico. Edna worked as a seamstress for 25 years at the Algoma Hammock Co. She also loved gardening and playing cards.

      Edna is survived by her three children, daughter, Audrey (Clarence) Calaway and their children, Barbara, Lawrence, Janet, Daniel, Bruce and William, daughter, Alice Stuebes, son, William (Camille) Van Lanen and their children, Antoinette, Teresa, Angela, Deanna and Joe; daughter-in-law, Carol Van Lanen and her children, Robert, Rick Renee and Robyn; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy (Bill) Mayzina; and her sisters-in-law, Caroline and Lydia Kazik.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilford P. Van Lanen; son, Robert Van Lanen; son-in-law, Herb Stuebes; six brothers, Roman, Irvin Ed, Herman, Norbert and Joe Kazik; three sisters, Ann La Follette, Stella Kempen and Virginia Cartier.

      Friends may call from 9 until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Oct. 17, 2006, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, (corner of Lourdes Avenue and Suburban Drive). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem., officiating. The RYAN FUNERAL HOME of De Pere is assisting the family.
