    • EDGAR E ARPS, 53, OF R. 1, Brillion, died today at Wood Veterans Hospital.

      Born Dec. 27, 1913 in Kaukauna, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Arps, he was married to Mildred Osinga Apr. 12, 1941 in Appleton. He was employed in the pulp mills laboratory of the Thilmany Paper Co. at Kaukauna for 25 years and was a member of the company’s Quarter Century Club

      He served in the U. S. Navy for three years during World War II. He was a member of the Brillion Methodist church and the Bloedorn-Becker American Legion Post 126.

      Survivors are his wife; two sons, Richard at home and David of Oshkosh; four foster children, Nancy, Patty, Mike and Wesley Marek all at home; and a sister, Mrs. E. H. Miller of Appleton. A daughter died in 1962 and two sisters also preceded him in death.

      Funeral services will be held at Brillion Methodist church with the Rev. Stewart Price, pastor and Rev. Bernard Kassilke of West Bend officiating.
