- Earl "Whitey" SiebersFreedomAge 73, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Appleton Medical Center from complications of lymphoma. Whitey was born on February 22, 1940 in Kaukauna, son of the late Harvey and Vivian (Young) Siebers. He received his education in the Kaukauna School System. Whitey found the love of his life and on June 4, 1969, he was united in marriage to Lana Haack at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Freedom. He was employed as a mill worker for Thilmany in Kaukauna for 44 years until his retirement. He was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and he enjoyed fishing, cooking, horse shows, hunting, and spoiling his grandson Ean. Whitey is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Jason and Amy Siebers; his grandson, Ean Siebers; a foster daughter, Kristine (Christopher) Okkerse; six sisters: Blanche (Bob) Meyer, Elaine (Howard) Hayek, Sharon (Bob) Hoehne, Joan (Kurt) Vogel, Bonnie (Don) Tomazevic, Mary Siebers (Rudy); three brothers: Bernard (Teri) Siebers, Harvey (Tami) Siebers, and Mark (Kathy) Siebers; a Godson, Joey Tomazevic; a special cousin, Sally Schoenborn, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, his loving wife, Lana, his father and mother-in-law: Mick and Mearle Haack, two sisters: Darlene Schroeder and Deanna Guyette, a brother-in-law, Eugene Tennessen, and a nephew, Paul Tennessen.The Mass of Christian Burial for Whitey will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna with Fr. Tom Pomeroy celebrating. Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in Algoma. Friends will be received directly at the church on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Whitey's name is being established. The Boettcher Family Funeral Home in Kaukauna is assisting the family.
