    • Duane Coenen, 46, Seymour, died unexpectedly, due to a heart condition, on Friday, May 14, 2010. Duane was born on Sept. 6, 1963. On June 25, 1988, he was united in marriage to Deborah Kaczrowski in Green Bay. Together they had one son, Brandon.

      Duane served his country with honor in the first Gulf War. He received several decorations, including Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal (with 2 stars), Kuwait Liberation Medal, as well as a Good Conduct Medal and Navy Achievement Medal (with combat "V").

      Duane enjoyed golfing, as well as spending time with his family. He coached his son in wrestling and loved watching Brandon's matches.

      Duane is survived by his parents, Eugene and Beverly (Peterson) Coenen, Pella; his son, Brandon, Seymour; his wife, Debbie Coenen, Seymour; as well as his brothers and sisters, Debbie Kaster, Navarino; Donna (Gregg) Sprangers, Seymour; Dale Coenen, Neopit; Mike (Kari) Coenen, Lark; and Carrie Schutt, West Salem.

      Duane is preceded in death by a brother, Mark, in infancy.

      A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 7 p.m. at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home, Bonduel, with the Rev. Vernon Heim officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. until the time of services.
