- Dorothy A. "Dottie" Albers, Fountain Hills, AZ, formerly of De Pere, WI, passed away at the Hospice of the Valley, Sherman House, in Scottsdale, AZ on May 5, 2012.
The daughter of the late John P.and Clara M. (Streit) Lemmen was born on June 18, 1929 in De Pere, WI. She married Carl J. Albers on September 9, 1950 at St. Mary's Church in De Pere, and together they lovingly raised 3 children.
Dorothy worked at Pauly Cheese Co. in Green Bay, WI for 37 years after which she and Carl retired to Fountain Hills, AZ, where they were members of The Church of the Ascension. For many years she enjoyed bowling, golfing, bingo, playing cards and taking classes at ASU. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren very much.
Survivors include her son, Robert and his wife Barbara Albers of De Pere, her daughter-in-law, Colleen Albers of De Pere, her son-in-law, Donald Leslie of Urbandale, IA. seven grandchildren, Neil and Ryan Albers, Carly, Caitlin and Callie Albers and Stroh and Dalton Leslie. She is also survived by her sister, Clare (Norbert) Petasek, De Pere, her brother, Ed (Linda) Lemmen, Bellview, FL, sister-in-laws, Donna Lemmen and Dolores Lemmen, Green Bay, step-sister, Margaret Mommaerts, De Pere, brother-in-laws, Dick Russell, Green Bay and John Brennen, De Pere, sister-in-laws, Mae Willems, De Pere, Lucille Tahlier, Green Bay and several nieces and nephews.
Dottie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl, her daughter, Wendy, her son, Chad, an infant daughter, Linda and an infant son, Louis. Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Mary Barth and Margaret Blondheim Brennan, her brothers, Albert, Peter and John Lemmen, a step-brother, Donald McCellen, brother-in-law, Jerome Blondheim, step-brother-in-law, Donald Mommaerts, sister-in-laws, Lorraine Smits and Ellen Albers, brother-in-laws, Clarence and Donald Albers, Raymond Smits and Harold Tahlier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, De Pere on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with Mass at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. will be officiating.
