- Donald U. Lokrantz, 77, of Beloit passed away at Golden Living Center in Ft Atkinson on Thursday, January 8, 2015. He was born in Bloomer, WI on November 23, 1937 to Otto and Faye (Cayo) Lokrantz. Don married Katherine Rose in 1959 and were blessed with three sons.
Don was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Navy on the USS Wisconsin from 1951 to 1953. After the service he went to work at the Beloit Corporation where he was an active member of the International Machinist Union for 35 plus years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors.
Donald is survived by his sons, Dennis (Sun Ae), Mark (Laureen Trixi) and Randy Lokrantz; grandchildren, Cari, Jason, Arron (Irem), Kaelyb and Konley Lokrantz plus many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his wife Katherine, brothers Lonnie (Lincoln) and John (Jack), sister Jean, his parents Otto and Faye and grandparents Urban and Alice Cayo.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the Golden Living Center of Ft. Atkinson and Rainbow Hospice of Jefferson for all the care and support they provided Don over his final journey.
A memorial visitation for Donald will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 4-6pm at Rosman-Uehling-Kinzer Funeral Home and Crematory in Beloit, WI. Don and his family would enjoy the wearing of Packer and Brewer attire at the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, Beloit Meals On Wheels and the V Foundation.
