      Neenah

      Age 69, died Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at Saint Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton following a battle with cancer. She was born November 16, 1932 in Kennan, daughter of Paul and Agatha (Weyers) Kurth. Dolores married Sylvester J. Kempen September 25, 1954 in Kennan. Mrs. Kempen was a member of Saint Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah and was employed with the Neenah School District lunch program for many years. She also was active in the senior exercise program at the Neenah- Menasha Y.M.C.A. Mrs. Kempen was a loving and courageous wife and mother.

      Dolores is survived by her husband: Sylvester J. her children: Karen (Richard) Foss, Stevens Point and their children: Adam and Alex Joan (David) Denny, Appleton and their children: Mari-Lee and Kari: Janet (Terry_) Doll, Indianapolis, Indiana and their children: Erin and Jeff Gregory (Carol) Kempen, Menasha and their children: Eric, Alicia and Tim Michael (Mary) Kempen, Greenville and their children: Matthew and Meghan Susan (Chuck) Supple, Madison and their children: Shane, Derek, Ryan and Callie and Sarah Kempen and fiance Jasson Yahn, Seymour brothers and sisters: Barbara Silvernail Gerald (Dorothy), Donald (Lee), James, Robert (Trudy), Harold (Florence), Anthony (Karen), Mike (Pauleen) Kurth and Judy (Gary) Hansen one sister-in-law and three brothers-in-law: Florence McDonald Ray (Ethyl), Clayton (Barb) and Richard (Elaine) Kempen nieces and nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 25, 2002 at Saint Gabriel Church, Neenah with Reverend Richard Allen officiating. Entombment will be in Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum, Neenah. Friends may call at the Kessler Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. and at the church Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

      In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Neenah-Menasha Y.M.C.A.
