      Memorial service for DeWayne Vandenberg, 68, will be held at a later date in Bonners Ferry. English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d'Alene is in charge of arrangements.

      Mr. Vandenberg, who was born in New Hampshire, died Wednesday.

      He grew up in Bonners Ferry and graduated from high school in 1946.

      He had worked for the Louisiana Pacific sawmill and the Plato Tree Nursery and later worked for the W.I. sawmill before retiring in 1990.

      Mr. Vandenberg was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bonners Ferry.

      Survivors include his wife, Marian; four sons, Steven Vandenberg of Bonners Ferry, David Vandenberg of Quilcene, Wash., Michael Vandenberg of Coeur d'Alene and Patrick Vandenberg of Oregon; two daughters, Ruth Miller of Boise and Carol Hall of Illinois; one stepson, Richard Preston of Florida; two stepdaughters, Janet Preston of Spokane and Lori Barlow of Moses Lake; two brothers, John Vandenberg and Marvin Vandenberg, both of Coeur d'Alene; and two sisters, Eunice Dinning of Bonners Ferry and Mary Speed of Spanaway, Wash.
