- David Alphonse Koerner, age 67, passed away after a lingering illness on December 10, 2011. He was born on January 26, 1944 in Neenah, the son of Alphonse and Florence (Buss) Koerner. He attended the Neenah High School and then entered the U.S. Marine Corps and served from 1961 until 1965. He worked many jobs and retired from Kimberly Clark.
He is survived by:his wife Chris of Appleton;(3) sons: Don (Vicki) of Park Falls; Dave (Sue) of Neenah; Dan "Q Ball" of Valrico, FL; his former wife and mother of his children: Shirley (Joe) Birling; (4) brothers: Dick (Jacki) of Neenah; Ron (Merry) of Crooked Lake; Gene of King Veteran's Home; Terry of Tomah; (20) grandchildren; (7) great-grandchildren and two more on the way;(3) stepsisters, (2) stepsons, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother Dorothy and stepbrother Jake.
A visitation will be held on Saturday January 7, 2012 at the Labor Temple located at 157 S. Green Bay Road; Neenah, WI from 11:00am until 2:00pm. Military honors will follow.

Special thanks to his son Ron and Merry Koerner for their special care of Dave while he lived in Crooked Lake and to his son Don and his family who were his caregivers while he lived in Park Falls.
