    • Darvin H. Nagel, 81, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his home. He was born March 25, 1931 son of the late Milton and Viola (Maass) Nagel. On January 4, 1958 he was united in marriage to Edith Zirbel.

      Darvin was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour. He was an Army Paratrooper during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the Seymour American Legion. Darvin was a Director of Seymour Cooperative, board member of Pine Grove School, farmed in the Town of Oneida until retirement where he took the worst farm in the county and turned it into the best farm receiving the outstanding young farmer award. He was a member on the couple's dart ball league with St. John's U.C.C and Emmanuel men's dart ball league. After retirement he worked for Murphy Development until his death.

      Survivors include his wife, Edith; his children: Mary Ellen (Michael) Balskus, De Pere; Nancy (Steve) Cosby, Oklahoma City; John (Gwendolyn) Nagel, Menasha; Margaret (Mark) Waage, Green Bay; David (Kristin) Nagel, Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren: Alexander, Marinna, Lucas, Sarah, Nicholas, Hannah, Nicole, Tyler and Shailee; a brother, Bob (Marlene) Nagel, Jackson; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Lois Nagel, Mequon; Janet (Ray) Francies, Little Suamico

      Preceded in death by his daughter Gloria and a brother Gerald.

      Friends may call at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Chapel, Seymour on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 4-7 PM and on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the church from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Roland Lindeman officiating.
