- Dallaise C. "Dolly" Peters, 78, Grand Chute, passed away on December 30, 2012 at a local hospital after a short illness. Dolly was born on October 12, 1934 in Shiocton WI to George and Violet Young. She was a graduate of Appleton West High School. On February 1, 1958 she married John L. Peters at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Appleton. She was employed for many years at Lawrence University until her retirement. Dolly enjoyed time with her family most of all. She was an awesome mother and grandmother. She also loved time at the family cottage up north in Wisconsin Rapids. She loved going out to dinner with John and traveling, especially to Mexico. She also enjoyed getting her nails done and a good massage.
She will be sadly missed by her husband John, Children, Michael (Susan) Peters, Greenville, Richard (sp. Friend Rita Peters) Peters, Appleton, Michele Culligan, Appleton, Clint Peters, Milwaukee, Nadine (Richard) Holcomb, Appleton, Nicole Peters, Appleton and Jennifer (special friend Mark Weinreis) Peters, Appleton, grandchildren, Bailey, Elizabeth, Emma, and Jordan, great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Avah and Aubrey, brothers and sisters, Art Young, Jim (Jean) Young, Tom Young, Betty (Ron) Hutchison, Ruben Young and Pat Sheridan as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter Kathleen, 1 brother Jack Young, John's parents Leonard and Lillian Peters.
Friends may call at Valley Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30-11:00 am. Memorial Service at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 am.
The family would like to thank the staff and nurses and Oak Ridge Gardens and St. Elizabeth Hospital for the care given to mom.
