- Clarence 'Denny Vanden Berg, 88, of De Pere, died Thursday morning, March 7, 2002, at a local hospital. The son of the late Lawrence and Odelia Terneuzen Vanden Berg was born on Jan. 21, 1914, in De Pere. He was a graduate of Nicolet High School, De Pere.
On Nov. 13, 1948, he married the former Patricia Joepeck at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Green Bay. Mr. Vanden Berg faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Vanden Berg worked for the City of De Pere for many years. He worked in the wastewater treatment plant for 17 years and served as electrical inspector for over 22 years. He enjoyed yard work and was an excellent cook, specializing in holiday meals for his loving family.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, and their children, Barbara Gerald 'Buck' Peters, De Pere, Michael Sue Vanden Berg, Chesapeake, Va., Diane Paul Seymour, Allouez, Richard Vanden Berg, Green Bay, Debra Dennis Pratt, Suamico, Karla Will Revolinski, Allouez; five grandchildren, Skylier and Aaron Vanden Berg, Bianca and Ian Seymour, and Jason Revolinski, one sister-in-law, Eve Vanden Berg; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steven; three sisters and five brothers. Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the funeral procession leaves for church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere, with the Rev. Tom Hagendorf officiating. Entombment in Allouez Mausoleum. The Vanden Berg family extends a special thank you to Unity Hospice, Third Floor Bellin Medical Unit Nurses, IMCU Nurses at Bellin, Rennes Health Care and all his doctors and health care workers for all of their care and support.
