Age 70, died Tuesday, June 15, 1993 at Vallhaven Care Center following inoperable cancer. He was born March 11, 1923 in Kimberly, son of the late Martin and Gertrude [LeRoy] Vander Velden.
He is survived by two brothers and three sisters in-law, Francis and Mary Jane Vander Velden, Appleton; Thomas and Carol Vander Velden, Plains, Montana; Margaret 'Mugs' Vander Velden, Kaukauna; two sisters and three brothers in-law, Bette Derus, Appleton; Sister Rita 'Bernice' Vander Velden, Racine; Ray Wiatrowski, Menasha; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Eugene, his sisters, Elaine Wiatrowski, and Grace Sauerbreit, and a brother in-law, Gene Derus.
The memorial mass will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church with Fr. Bob Lexa officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Family will receive relatives and friends immediatly following the memorial mass.
