    • Dietrich, Clarcy L "Lou" (Maass)

Clarcy "Lou" Louise Dietrich, 63 of Hortonville, died Monday May 12, 2014 at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born November 7, 1950 in California, daughter of the late Willard and Dorothy (Upchurch) Maass.

Lou worked at Spats' Food & Spirits, Appleton, and Black Otter Supper Club, Hortonville for several years, and later at Rogan's Shoes, Appleton. Lou loved to cook, and embroider. She embroidered many keepsakes for her family.

Lou is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Ott, Shiocton; two grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Ott; sister, Patty Maass, Clintonville; two brothers, Timothy Maass, Menasha, and Tony Maass (fiancée Patti Zentner), Greenville; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was further preceded in death by a brother Willard Maass; and nephew Michael Fleischer.

Memorial service for Lou will be 4:30PM Thursday May 15, 2014 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the time of service.

Lou's family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at both, Theda Care at Home Hospice, and Appleton Health Care Center; and to Dr. Lewandowski and his staff, for all of their care and compassion.

Always ready with a joke and a smile, Lou looked at the world with a love of life, encompassing the ups and the downs. Her smile and the light in her eyes will be dearly missed.
