    • Charlotte was born about 1815 in Wisconsin Territory. She was the daughter of a Fox Indian named Pemoussa and a 1/2 Fox - 1/2 Kickapoo Indian Woman. Charlotte married Isidore Lacaillé (Isadore Lacoy) who was the son of a Frenchman and a Ojibwa Woman (Canadian side). I have seen no proof of Charlotte's "Indian" name, researcher's have found no records of it. Charlotte died on the 18 Feb 1889 on Sugar Island in Michigan.
