  Cecilia G. VanDomelen Recitation of the Holy Rosary was said at St. Francis Church at Roy Friday for Cecilia G. VanDomelen. Mass of the Resurrection was Saturday, and Monsignor Edmond Vanderzanden officiated, with the Revs. Stephen Breitenstein and Ervin Vandehey assisting. Committal prayers followed with interment at the St. Francis Cemetery. Mrs. VanDomelen died Wednesday at her home on Rt. 1, Banks. Cecilia VanDomelen was born Dec. 22, 1900, at Roy, the daughter of Henry and Gertrude Vanderbrook Vanderzanden. She attended school at Roy. She was married on Dec. 28, 1920, to Joseph F. VanDomelen at the Parish in Roy. They lived at Wilkesboro, Roy, Mountaindale, and later at Banks, and had farmed. Mr. VanDomelen preceded her in death in 1979. Mrs. VanDomelen was a lifetime member of the St. Francis Church at Roy. She was a member of the Altar Society and was active in church work. She is survived by five children, Vincent (Bud) VanDomelen of Hillsboro, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Marshall of Hillsboro, Rita Gorman of Beaverton, Mrs. I. F. (Velma) Vandehey and Vernon VanDomelen of Banks; 29 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Julius Vanderzanden of Hillsboro, Francis Vanderzanden of Forest Grove and Mary Meeuwsen of Banks. Arrangements were by Fuiten Mortuary of Forest Grove. Published in the Hillsboro Argus, May, 1980.
