- Cecelia B. "Ceil" Nelessen, Little Chute, age 93, died Monday December 1, 2014 at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc. She was born on March 21, 1921 in the Town of Vandenbroek, the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Vosters) De Bruin. Ceil married Clarence Nelessen on October 23, 1941 and the entire family gathered to joyfully celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 2001. Cecelia lived most of her life in Little Chute. She was a lifetime member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and was a member of the Mission Club for many years.
Cecelia is survived by her daughters: Rose (Bob) Schreiber and Linda Nelessen; son Tony (Francoise) Nelessen; grandchildren: Jeff (Sharon) and Nate (Theresa) Schreiber, Michelle (Mike) McKenna, Zeb (Ayana), Matthew (Gina) and Guillaume Nelessen; great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Madeline, Sam, Aubrey and Beau Schreiber, Aidan and Connor McKenna and William Nelessen; sisters-in-law: Rita De Bruin, Bernice Nelessen, Marian Nelessen, Dolores (Eugene) Van Camp, Helen Diedrick, Dolly (Dale) Meulemans, Rita Nelessen and Art Vosters; and God children: Don and Bill De Bruin, Tim Nelessen, Roy Van De Hey, Jane Vanden Boogart and Bert Hagen. She is further survived by wonderful nieces, nephews and friends that came to visit her and the good neighbors she had on Franklin Street for over 65 years.
In addition to her parents and husband Clarence, Cecelia was preceded in death by her infant son William; brothers: Tony, Bernard (Margaret), Quintin (Joan) and Urban De Bruin; sisters: Betty (Urban) Nelessen and Janette (Russ) Hoersch; sisters and brothers-in-law: Marie De Bruin, Eugene (Arleen), Robert, Norbert (Mary) and James Nelessen, Rich Diedrick, Ruth (Len) Vande Hey, Mildred (Gordon) Newhouse, Marie (Ed) Vosters, Eunice (Bill, ) Vosters and Mary (Robert) Kessler; and God son Ken De Bruin.
The family would like to extend heartful thanks to AnglesGrace Hospice and particularly to Susan Van Camp for the constant and compassionate care provided.
Visitation will be held Saturday December 6, 2014 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Ronald Belitz will officiate. Committal St. John Cemetery at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cecelia's memory to Saint John's Mission Club (Little Chute) or to AngelsGrace Hospice (Oconomowoc). Also, her family plans a memorial bench to be placed in Heesakker's Woods. Please make donations for the bench to the "Family of Cecelia Nelessen".
