  • Notes
    • During the "Hour of Divine Mercy", Cecelia Annabelle (Van Rite) Moore was peacefully welcomed home to Heaven's joy! While this time could not have come soon enough for Mom (Gramma), her faith, family and friends warmly filled her days of longing for her final reward.

Ceil was born on Oct. 7, 1916, to Frank and Catherine Van Rite into a family of 12 children! On Sept. 14, 1935, at St. Mary's Church in De Pere, she married Walter Moore, son of Thomas and Adeline Moore, and a family of 14! What a blessing and joy it was for their children to have so many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents to journey with!

Ceil was born into humble, hard working beginnings. She was a housekeeper for the Schumacher family before marriage. Then she worked tirelessly alongside Walter for their business, Green Bay View Dairy, and later on the Moore family farm. During that time, she also worked many years for the SuperValue Grocery Stores.

Her joy was her faith and serving others, intertwined with the antics of her grandchildren, gardening, bowling, playing cards and time at the cottage.

Survivors include her daughter, Alice (Jerome) Kraft and grandchildren, Scott and Tina Kraft (Jeff, Alex and Max), Tom and Geralyn Kraft (Travis and Tyler), Mike and Cathy Kraft (Michael, Conner, Parker and McKenna), Christine and James Moylan (Caitlyn, Mitch and Ryan), John and Louann Kraft (Josh, Cody, Sarah and Ben), James and Rana Kraft (Carys and Kayla), Dan and Ellen Moore (Nick, Matt and Stephanie and Robby), Terry Moore (Kevin, Greg and Michael Renard), Mary Sue and Mark Zemanovic (Emily and Ben), Bill and Debbie Moore (Mattie and Max). She is further survived by Marvin Van Rite, Earl Van Beek, Marie Moore, Evelyn Moore and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, on March 5, 1991; and son, Robert on Nov. 25, 1988; grandchildren, Mary Valentine and Nicky Kraft; the families' great-grandbabies in Heaven; sisters, Leona (George) Richmond, Lillamae Van Beek, Margaret Van Rite, Bernice Van Rite; brothers, Norbert (Etta) Van Rite, Ervin (Arleen) Van Rite, Clarence (Marcella) Van Rite, Howard (Sophie) Van Rite, Francis (Ruth) Van Rite; brothers and sisters-in-law from the Thomas Moore family; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends may call at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 3425 Willow Rd., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial 12 noon Tuesday at the church with the Rev. John Van Deuren officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Proko-Wall Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be sent to Ceil's family at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.

God's blessings and deepest thanks to all who supported and cared for her in any way, especially Fr. John Van Deuren, Fr. Bob Rhyner, Fr. Ron Belitz, her visitors from Prince of Peace, Dr. Fred Walbrun and the staff of Woodside Nursing Home and her family and friends.
