Stumpf, Casilda (Nitz)
Casilda Stumpf (Nitz), 76, Darboy, died on Friday Jan. 30, 2009, at Crestwood Senior Living Center. Casilda was born Dec. 22, 1932, the daughter of the late George and Jacobina VanDeWettering. On May 15, 1952, she married Eugene Stumpf, son of the late Joseph and Isabel (Wallace) Stumpf. The couple lived in the Town of Harrison their entire married lives. Casilda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. For many years, she was an active member of Holy Angels Church serving as trustee and on the parish council. Casilda also was a member of the Holy Angels Athletic Committee and the Harrison Athletic Association.
She will always be remembered for her crocheting, embroidery, quilts and canning. She enjoyed playing dominos and cards with family and friends. She especially loved being a part of her children and grandchildren's activities, and a "proud" spectator.
Casilda is survived by her children, Jeff (Sandy) Stumpf and their children, Heath (Jill) and Andrea (fiance, Reynaldo Guerrero) Stumpf, Darboy; Carol (Paul) Sheridan and their children, Joe and Max Sheridan, Westerville, Ohio; Barbara (Mark) Koester and their children, Rebecca (John) Groff, Gina, Dan (fiancee, Sara Masura) and Erin Koester, Darboy; Mike (Lisa) Stumpf and their children, Jenny Larson, Katie, Angie (fiance, Nick Hoople) Ben (Dayton) and Dustin Stumpf, Neenah; Ken (Nancy) Stumpf and their children, Shelly (Matt) Aures and Samantha Stumpf, Kimberly; Fred (Karen) Stumpf and their children, Olivia, Helena and Eric Stumpf, Darboy; Lee (Marie) Stumpf and their children, Nicole, Kyle and Brady Stumpf, Darboy; Charles (Brenda) Stumpf and their children, Jacob and Brittney Stumpf, Sherwood; Wayne Stump, Darboy; Sheila (Bradley) Schinke and their children, Jack, Sophia and Arthur Schinke, Combined Locks; her great-grandchildren, Sativa and Gage Larson and Alison and Brynn Stumpf; a sister, Tekla Hart; and sister-in-law, Laverne Van DeWettering. She is further survived by her husband's family, Sister Bridget, Pat (Phyllis) Stumpf, Doris (Roger) George, Alice Parker, Ellen Lamers, Kathleen Stumpf, Paul (Ruth) Stumpf, Tom (Ann) Stumpf, Joe (Joan) Stumpf; and John (Lynn) Stumpf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald; a granddaughter, Cassie Stumpf; a grandson, Tyler Stumpf; a brother, Vitus VanDeWettering; sister, Rita (Sylvester) Fink; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hart, Herman Lamers, Harvey (Theresa) Stumpf and Shirley Stumpf.
Mass of Christian Burial for Casilda will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2009, at Holy Spirit Parish, Holy Angels Catholic Church, Darboy, with Fr. Walter Stumpf officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna, and again on Tuesday directly at church, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A 7:30 p.m. parish prayer service will conclude the evening on Monday.
In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.

Mom, The last time we said, "goodbye and we love you" we didn't realize it would be the last. You have touched so many lives and will be missed by all. Give Dad and Donnie a hug and kiss from each of us.
