- PASSING OF MRS. J.G. RAISLER
Well known resident dies Wednesday afternoon after a short illness of Pneumonia. After an illness of seven days, death claimed Mrs. J.G. Raisler, well known resident of this city, on Wednesday afternoon, October 17th. Death was due to pneumonia.
The deceased, nee Amelia Schroeder, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb Schroeder and was born July 15, 1855 in Brandenburg, Germany. At the age of nine months, she came with her parents to this country and located in the vicinity of Bear Creek. Her father was the first settler in Nicholson and started the first church. She was united in marriage to J. Gottlieb Raisler on September 29th, 1872. They continued to make their home in the town of Bear Creek until eleven years ago, when the family came to this city. Mr. Raisler preceded his wife in death August 17, 1921.
Mr. and Mrs. Raisler were the parents of seven daughters and five sons. Of these, a daughter, Katherine, passed away at the age of two years. The children surviving their mother are Helena, Mrs August Kuschel, Mary, Mrs. E. Fetzer, Laura, Mrs. Fred Jahn, and Linda Raisler all of this city; Anna, Mrs. Fred Will of Bear Creek; Mrs. Tillie Hafemann of Milwaukee; Edward Raisler, Theodore Raisler and Andrew Raisler, all of Bear Creek; Frank Raisler of Clintonville, and Louis Raisler of Bonduel. She is also survived by eighteen grand children, one great grandchild and one brother Albert Schroeder of Bear Creek.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at he residence and at the St. Martin's Lutheran Church at two o'clock. Rev. W.O. Speckhard will conduct the services and interment will be in the Nicholson Cemetery.
Mrs. Raisler was a member of the Midweek Sewing Society and also a member of the St. Martin's Church.
