Carl Van Groll
Appleton
Age 51, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 12, 2005 at home. Carl was born May 19, 1954 to the late Henry and Dora [Ver Voort] Van Groll in Little Chute. He married the former Phyllis Van Handel on November 13, 1976 at St. John's in Little Chute. Carl was a master craftsman who was employed at Carpetland for 32 years, over the years he help many of his friends and family with his flooring and designs skills. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting with his son Chris, nephews and special friend, also a NASCAR and Packer fan, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his three children, Holly [Wes] Pohlman, Miichelle Van Groll and Chris Van Groll; the mother of his children, Phyllis Van Groll; five brothers, Rich [Kate], Jerry [Janice], Marvin [Mary], Donald [Beth], and Leroy [Jill]; three sisters, Marge [Norman] Van Beek; Irene [Clarence] Wagner; Carol [Jerry] Selig; and his two God children, Jodi Selig and Jacqueline Estreen; also aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his nephew, Mark Van Beek, and his God son, Andy Van Groll.
Carls mass of christian burial will be 5 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2005 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Friends will be received on Thursday at church from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
