    • Audrey Cecil (Douglas) Wydeven

      Audrey C. Wydeven, age 93, of Appleton, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Audrey was born on November 18, 1920, in Ladysmith, to the late Lawrence and Pearl (Ewer) Douglas. On August 26, 1939, she married Martin Joseph Wydeven of Kimberly; he preceded her in death on April 1, 1984. Audrey was a life-time member of the Kimberly American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 60. Audrey loved to travel, read, and collect old books and dolls. When the family got together she played pinochle and cribbage and would always have stories to tell of her life and adventures.

      Survivors include her children, David (Carol) Wydeven; Robert Wydeven (Patricia Vaughan); Charlotte Menting: Martin (Linda) Wydeven; Glady (Patrick) Vavra; and Mary (Joseph) Keberlein; her 28 grandchildren; her 54 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; her sisters, Geraldine Belongia and Judy Ver Hoeven; and her sister-in-law, Luciena Wydeven; and her aunt Eleanor Kapas. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Patricia; her grandson, Bradley J. Goffard; her sisters, June (Tony) Bosmans, Arla Douglas and Faye (Wilbert) Gerrits; her brother, Lawrence Douglas; her brothers-in-law, Harold Belongia and Kenneth Ver Hoeven.

      Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the STAR OF HOPE CHAPEL AT HIGHLAND MEMORIAL PARK, Appleton, with Pastor Mike Huff officiating. Friends may call at the Jansen Fargo Funeral Home, 204 Kimberly Avenue, Kimberly, on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at Highland Memorial Park on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
