- Arline I. Lamers, Little Chute, age 97, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2014. Arline was born to Louis and Anna Schnese on June 8, 1917, in Shawano, Wisconsin. Arline is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jerry Lamers; her sister Dorothy Bray; and her brothers Louis Schnese and Frank Schnese.
Arline was married to the late Jerome (Jerry) Lamers for over sixty years and she lived her entire adult life in Little Chute, Wisconsin. She worked as a clerk for 27 years at the Little Chute Variety Store. Arline and Jerry traveled all over the United States throughout their life together and especially enjoyed golfing. After retiring they would spend the winter months in Florida golfing and enjoying their many friends in Florida.
While Arline and Jerry never had children of their own, Arline's nieces, Sharon Johannes and Mary Lehmann, were very special to her. With the love and attention given to Arline by her nieces, Arline was able to live in her own home until she was 93 years old. Arline moved to Parkside Care Center where she was cared for by the wonderful staff until her passing.
Arline was buried next to her husband at St. John Cemetery in Little Chute. A Memorial Mass is being held at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. To sign the guest book, please visit oconnellfh.com.
