  • Notes
    • Arden D. Danke, age 66, of Readfield, was called home by his Savior on Friday, June 1, 2012, which would have been his dad's 110th birthday. Arden was born on August 20, 1945, the youngest child of the late Leonard and Ethel (Dorow) Danke. Arden lived with his dad and his brother, Nathan, on the Danke homestead in Readfield, for many years and spent most of his time with his Dad, until he passed in 1990. After Arden's health began to decline, he moved into a nursing home, and had been at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega since 2005. The staff at Lakeview became his family, and took excellent care of him. Arden loved a good joke, and was always a caring, big teddy bear of a guy. Arden is survived by two brothers, Alton (Barb) and Nathan, both of New London; two sisters, Donna (David) Pagel, Neenah; and Elvera Kent, Appleton; a sister-in-law, Norene Danke, Weyauwega; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Owen(Erna), Ivan (Audrey) and Leon; three sisters, Myra (Robert) Magolski, Sylvia Ruppel and Lyda Danke; an infant brother, and a brother-in-law, David Kent. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, N985 County Rd. W, Readfield. Pastor Peter Kesting will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for Zion Lutheran Church, Readfield, or the charity of your choice.

Arden's family wishes to thank the staff at Lakeview Manor for their many years of wonderful care and love. They would also like to thank Pastor Diener for his many visits over the years, and to Pastor Kesting for his visits and ministering, it is all greatly appreciated.
