      Age 56, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. Toni was being treated for a long illness.

      Toni was a lifelong resident of Appleton. She is survived by her husband, Richard; a former Appleton Alderman. Antonette was the only child of Ruth Plamann Gergen and Lawrence Gergen; both preceded her in death. Others living include Richard's daughter, Tina Godin and family; his mother, Josephine; brothers: Thomas, Douglas and Robert and their Feavel families; a sister, Rochelle Altenhoven with her families. Toni was a graduate of St. Paul School and Fox Valley Lutheran High School. She was honorably discharged from the Navy. Toni worked at Tuttle Press of Fox Valley Papers. She served her Co-op, Valley View Recreation Club as Grounds Keeper, Treasurer and Secretary. VVRC was second home for Toni in the Madison area. Services will be held at Wichmann Funeral Home, Appleton on Friday, September 21, at 5:15 p.m. with the Rev. John C. Baumann officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the WELS service.
