      Anthony C. Ertl “Tony”

      Age 59, of Spring Lake Michigan passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 11, 2005 in Elk Rapids. Tony was born September 8, 1946 to Cletus and Eunice ( De Bruin ) Ertl in Little Chute and he married Bonnie M. Wolf in 1968 in Wisconsin. He served in the National Guard duting the Viet Nam War; and he had been employed McKinley Trucking. He was formerly employed in the leather industry. Tony was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spring Lake and he loved music-the accordion, guitar’ and banjo. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and his grandchildren.

      Survivors include his wife Bonnie; daughter, Tracee ( Mike ) Cole of Ypsilanti, Michigan; a son, Brian Ertl of Spring Lake, Michigan; grandchildren, Tylor and Brennon Cole ; his parents, Cletus and Eunice Ertl of Wisconsin; five sisters; Arlene ( Dan ) Merkel, Jane ( Don ) Polinski, Sue ( Dave ) Laha, Rosie ( Vince ) Lamers and Carol Martin all of Wisconsin; his brother Billy Ertl of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.

      A funeral liturgy for Anthony “Tony” C. Ertl will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Leonard Sudlik as celebrant. Friends may meet the family at church one hour prior to the service. Memorials to Breast Cancer Research or to a charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
