- Ann B. Diedrich, 86, entered into eternal life with her family by her side on Saturday, April 2, 2011, after a brief illness. Ann was born on March 2, 1925, to the late John and Minnie (Vanderheyden) Dollevoet. On May 17, 1947, she married Austin "Lefty" Diedrich who preceded her in death on July 29, 1976.
They farmed in the Town of Vandenbroek for 25 years. She was employed at the Kimberly mill during World War II. Ann was a housekeeper at Holy Cross Parish for 15 years.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. The grandkids always knew the cookie drawer would be full. Ann was a faithful member of Holy Cross Parish, the Ladies of Holy Cross and the Honey Bee Homemakers. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling and playing sheepshead with friends and family. She was an avid Packers fan totally enjoying Super Bowl XLV.
Ann is survived by two daughters, Judy Diedrich, Nancy (Rod) Hietpas; four sons, Martin (Linda) Diedrich, Randy (Donna) Diedrich, Kevin (Nancy) Diedrich, Todd (special friend, Jodi); 13 grandchildren, Penny (Patrick) Kelly, Katie (Joe) Kelly, Melissa (Troy) Vander Heiden, Ashley Diedrich, Emily Diedrich, Mark Diedrich, Rebecca (Aaron) Janssen, Charles Diedrich, Austin Diedrich, Amanda Diedrich, Connor Diedrich, Cooper Diedrich and Cayci Diedrich; five great-grandchildren and two on the way, Henry, Hunter, Morgan Vander Heiden, Mara Janssen and Aiden Kelly, baby Janssen and baby Kelly. Ann is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Germaine Blair and Ann Dollevoet; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Martin and Catherine Diedrich; a special daughter-in-law, Kerrie; six brothers, George (Martha), Bill (Agnes), Pete (Marie), Joe (Sella), Elmer (Betty), Bart Dollevoet; brothers-in-law, Steve (Clara), Les (Virl), John (Gladys), Victor (Ruth) Florian (Marie), Ray (Minnie) Diedrich, Jerome Blair; sisters-in-law, Gert (Ralph) DeBroux, Martha (Al) DeBruin, Dorothy (John) Shillcox, Anna (Al) Nieling and Catherine (Bill) Baumgart.
The Funeral Liturgy for Ann will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH (309 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna) at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Jack Mullarkey officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at the church.
A special thank you to our sister, Judy, for making a special, loving home for Mom. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff in the ICU at Theda Clark for their compassionate care.
Mom, you will always be a part of our lives and we will always have lime jello with pears at our family gatherings. We will love you always.
