- MRS. ORIS RUTTEN DIES MONDAY AT G.I. HOSPITAL -
Anna Freida Rutten was born February 19, 1914 at Chapman, Nebraska and passed away October 25, 1954 at the St. Francis hospital in Grand Island at the age of 40 years, 8 months and six days.
Anna was the oldest daughter of Henry E. J. and Clara Hueneke. She was baptized in the German Lutheran faith in early infancy. Anna lived at Chapman, Nebr., and attended school there until 1929 when the family moved to a farm northeast of Palmer. She was a graduate of Palmer High School with the Class of 1932.
Anna was united in marriage to Oris Rutten, November 18, 1938. They made their home with his parents on a farm northeast of Palmer.
Anna was an active member of the Loup Valley Homemaker's Club.
At an early age, she had the responsibility of helping to maintain a home for her brothers and sister. She was a loving and devoted wife and homemaker. After her marriage, she, with the greatest of kindness and tenderness, cared for her husband's mother during a lingering illness. Her loving way and big heartedness endeared her to both families.
Anna's full life of service and kindness has enriched the lives of all until a few weeks before her Master called her home.
She was preceded in death by her father. Those surviving are her husband Oris, her mother of St. Paul, Nebraska, three brothers and one sister, Henry of Palmer, John of Grand Island, Carl, and Alma Liberty of Sunnyside Washington and a host of other relatives.
Anna enjoyed a wide circle of friendships and will greatly be missed by all.
