    • Outagamie Girl Killed by Tractor
Angeline Van Schindel Dies When Vehicle Driven by Brother Tips
A rural Appleton girl who hitched a ride on a tractor driven by her brother, was fatally injured Monday afternoon when the tractor flipped over and crushed her beneath a fender.
Killed almost instantly was Angeline Debora Van Schindel, 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Van Schindel, route 4, Appleton. Her brother, Gary, 14, is in satisfactory condition at the Kaukauna Community Hospital.
Outagamie County Coroner Bernard H. Kemps said death was caused by suffocation. The neighbors used levers to lift the medium-sized tractor from the children.
Miss Van Schindel was a fifth grade student at Fernwood School.
Miss Van Schindel is survived by her parents, her brother, three sisters and four grandparents.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute.
