    • De Pere Journal Democrat 4-26-1945 Lt. (jg) Ambrose (Sam) Vanderheiden, was killed when his training ship exploded off the coas t of Maine on Monday, according to word received by his mother, Mrs. Christina Vanderheiden o f this place. Lt. Vanderheiden is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and was employed by the Plymout h Cheese Company before enlisting, two years ago. On Jan. 27 this year, he was married to Mis s Camilla Romano at Portland, Me. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by four brothers, Marvin of California; Rev. Donal d Vanderheiden of Philadelphia, Pa.; Arthur, Combined Locks; Major Paul Vanderheiden, somewhe re in Europe; and one sister, Mrs. Al Dove, Chicago. A memorial mass of Lt. Vanderheiden wil l be said at St. Paul's Catholic church Monday morning at 9 o'clock.
