- Alvera R. Wagner, age 95 of the Chilton Care Center in Chilton died on Sunday January 13, 2008.
She was born August 9, 1912 in Kloten daughter of the late Anton & Mary (Wettstein) Nadler. She married Norbert V. Wagner on September 12, 1934 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. The couple farmed together in the Town of Stockbridge. Norbert preceded her in death on July 5, 1985. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, and the Mission Society.
Alvera is survived by six children: Daughter, Mary (John) Alger of Chilton and their family: Kathy (Jack) Doxtator and Holly (David) Boe. A son: John (Sandi) of Green Bay and their family: Scott (Kim) and Lori (Mike) Philippi. A son: Paul (Mary Kay) of Rockland Beach and their family: Sue (Art) Kosterman, Patti (Tom) Parsons, Connie (Kurt) Groeschl and Joe Wagner. A son: Mark (Sandy) of Menomonee Falls and their family: Patrick (Karen), Beth (Mark) Clarstrom and Diane Sullivan. A daughter: Joan (Andy) Meyer and their family Anne (Tim) Zillges, Dean, Larry (Jennifer), Julie and Joy. A daughter: Lois (Bill) Forstner. She was also blessed with 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Alvera was preceded in death by 7 brothers: Emmanuel, Edmund, Ervin, William, Luke, Paul and Anthony Nadler; and one sister: Marcella Woelfel. Surviving sisters are Delphine Basler of Chilton, Kathleen Joas of Cudahy, Marie Friel of Chilton and Rosalie Heiberger of Chilton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday January 19, 2008 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Stockbridge.
