- Alvera K. Mueller, age 95, of Chilton died on Saturday January 9, 2015 at the Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. She was born on May 22, 1919 in Chilton, daughter of the late Henry and Amanda (Nett) Veit.
She married Leonard Mueller on November 4, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2005.
She attended Chilton Schools, and was a 1937 graduate of Chilton High School. She graduated from The Milwaukee School of Cosmetology, and practiced in Chilton and Plymouth. She also worked for Lake to Lake Dairy in Kiel for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, and a former member of St. Martin Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her 3 children, Janice (Vern) Casper of New Holstein, Ellen (Jeffrey) Nitsch of Sheboygan, Lyle (Debbie) Mueller of Chilton; 7 grandchildren, Daniel (Renee) Casper, Kay Casper, Shawn (Melissa) Forrest, Sherry (Dan) Krushke, Ryan Mueller, Heather Ford, Brandy (Justin) Brennan; 8 great grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Ann Woelfel of DePere. She was also preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Erica Anne, a sister, Alice (Glenroy) Keuler, a brother Gilbert (Delores) Veit, a sister-in-law, Marcella (Gilbert) Schneider, and a brother-in-law, Alvin Woelfel.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (62 E. Main St.) in Chilton, with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Entombment will take place on Wednesday at Highland Memorial Mausoleum in Appleton. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday prior to proceeding to church.
