Alois S. Van Camp
Stephensville
Age 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 1999 at the Outagamie County Health Center from Parkinson's Disease. He was born on December 30. 1923 in Freedom, Wisconsin, the son of Frank and Magdalene [Biese] Van Camp. On October 3, 1946 he married Dolores Jackels; together they farmed their entire married life. Alois was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Stephensville, where he was active in many church functions. He was also involved in the following; Outagamie Co. Farm Bureau, and Farmers Union, Catholic Knights, Knights of Columbis, A.S.C.S. Committee, Hill and Valley Snowmobile Club and the Hortonville Rural Fire Department. Alois enjoyed spending time at his cottage on the Chain of Lake's in Waupaca and loved to farm as he did until his retirement.
He is lovingly survived by six daughters and four sons in-law, Charlene and Terry Nielson, Neenah; Jane and Gary Depelecyn, Racine; Karen and Ron Gerrits, Mackville; JoAnn Radichel, Hortonville; Jean and Dan Lipke, Neenah; Patty Day, Appleton; six sons and daughters in-law, Curt and Karen Skorczewski, Black Creek; Marcel Van Camp and Ellen Connor, Waupaca; Tom Van Camp and Imogene Jones, Windsor, California; Fran and Doris Van Camp, Ken and Kathy Van Camp, Marty and Nancy Van Camp, all of Hortonville; 33 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Vande Hey, Wrightstown; four brothers and three sisters in-law, Gene and Laurie Van Camp, Glen and Theresa Van Camp, Jerry Van Camp, Floyd and Joanne Van Camp, all of Freedom; five sisters in-law and a brother in-law, Marcella Mielke, Florida; Sr. Cyrilla [Elizabeth] Jackels, Lima, Peru; Bernice Jackels, Darboy; and Norbert and Sally Jackels, Kaukauna. He is furthur survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many loving friends and neighbors.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Dolores on February 23, 1990, two sons, Michael and John; a brother, Marcel; and several brothers in-law and sisters in-law.
The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 1999 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Florian Resheske and the Rev. John Kastenholz O.Praem concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass. Parish prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. A memorial fund has been established for the American Parkinson's Association in Appleton.
