Alois J. Vandenberg 'Bud' 1145 Depot St. Little Chute
Age 45, passed away at 8 a.m. Sunday after a short illness. He was born in Freedom, May 16, 1920. He operated the Van's Dry Goods Store in Shiocton for the past nine years and was a resident of Little Chute for the past 23 years. Mr. Vandenberg was a member of the Holy Name Society, the Catholic Order of Foresters of St. John Church, American Legion Post No. 258, Little Chute, the Shiocton Business Men's Assoc.
Survivors are his widow, Lucille; one daughter, Joan; three sons, Mark, Dennis and Carl, all at home; five brothers, joseph, Appleton; Ted, Sherwood; Elmer, Freedom; Gordon, Little Chute; Merle, Kimberly; six sisters, Mrs. Ella Hooyman, Kaukauna; Mrs. Jane Meyer, Port Edwards, Wisconsin; Mrs. Minnie Verstegen and Mrs. Frank [Agnes] De Bruin, both of Little Chute; Mrs. Florence DeMunck, Kimberl; Mrs. Myrtle Liebergen, Wrightstown.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Vosbeek officiating. Interment will be in parish cemetery. Military services will be held at the graveside. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home, Little Chute, after 2 p.m. Monday where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m.
