Mrs. Arthur 'Pat' Wyro (Alma Joosten) 1019 Desnoyner St., Kaukauna, age 85, died peacefully Saturday, February 22, 1992 at the home of her daughter. She was born June 8, 1906 in Little Chute, the daughter of the late Arnold and Nettie Joosten. In her later years she enjoyed going on bus trips with different groups. She enjoyed her childrens cottages and a good card game with her family. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where she sang in the choir, as well as the Royal Neighbors, AARP and the Golden Agers.
She is survived by a son and a daughter in-law, Eugene and Patrica Wyro, Kaukauna; a daughter and son in-law, Donna and Mel Nieuwenhuis, Kaukauna; eight grandchildren; Cindy (Keith) Hietpas, Sandy (Brian) Dual, Mark Wyro and Rick Wyro, Pat (Donna) Nieuwenhuis, Scott (Pattie) Nieuwenhuis, Jeff Nieuwenhuis, and Missy Nieuwenhuis; seven great grandchildren; Ryan, Eric and Adam Hietpas, Shauna Marie Daul, Kayle and Kevin Nieuwenhuis and Greg Nieuwenhuis; a brother and three sisters in-law, Joseph and Rita Joosten, Kaukauna, and Frances Behnke and Marion Hurley, both of Appleton, and three sisters; Mary Daanen, DePere, and Angela Hooyman and Alice Schwalenberg, both of Appleton.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur 'Pat' in 1978, five brothers; Arthur, George, Walter, Clarence and Jack Joosten and a sister, Geraldine.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Fr. Bill O'Brien officiating. Bural will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna, from 4 unti 9 p.m. on Sunday and after 8:30 a.m. on Monday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 8:30 p.m. Sunday evening. There will be a memorial fund established for the VNA and Hospice Program.
