- Alice (Angst) Van Schyndle, 89, Green Bay, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, surrounded by her family. Born on September 3, 1923, in Green Bay to the late Joseph and Mary Angst. She graduated from East High School the class of 1941. She married Elton "Mike" Van Schyndle on July 14, 1945, at Saints Peter and Paul and he preceded her in death on April 5, 1999. Alice worked at Liebmans as a bookkeeper, raised her children, and was the bookkeeper and a force behind Van Schyndle Plumbing and Bath Boutique. She loved golfing, fishing, bridge, dominoes, going to the cottage with the family, family get-togethers, winters in Florida, sports, and especially the Packers.
Alice is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Howie (Rita) Van Schyndle, Craig (Sue) Van Schyndle, and Mark (Michelle) Van Schyndle; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary (Dennis) Santy, Chris (Ray) Perry, and Debbie (Bill) Woods; eighteen grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, James (Eunice) Angst, John Angst, Roger (Barb) Angst; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Grace (Tony) Balza, Joyce Scheer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Elton "Mike"; and one infant daughter; mother-in-law and father-in-law Virginia and William; brother, Roland; two sisters-in-law Joyce and Ginny Angst; brother-in-law, Loren Scheer.
Visitation at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, University Ave at Baird St., Monday from 4 PM until 8 PM. Parish wake service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Visitation will continue Tuesday at St. Bernard Catholic Church at the corner of St. Bernard Dr. and Mary Queen, from 9 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 AM with the Rev. Mark Vander Steeg officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
