    • Alice was baptized, confirmed and married at Emmanual Lutheran Church. When Alice was in sixth or seventh grade, her parent's sold the farm and bought a farm in the Town of Maple Grove, Shawano County. After graduation she went to work as a hired girl for the Gordon Derber family in Appleton where she worked until 1935 when she quit to come home and help her mother who was pregnant with her brother Nicholas.
Fritz, the son of Charles and Hulda (Gross) Treptow lived in Beaver Dan until he was two years old and then moved to a farm south of Landstad, Town ofLessor, Shawano County where he lived until he was ten years old. After his parent's divorce in 1918, he lived, as a foster child, with Carl (a dairy farmer) and Alvena Johnson at Frazer Comers, Town of Angelica, Shawano County.
For a couple of months after their marriage, they lived with the Johnsons until Carl bought then a small wood-frame house in Angelica, approximately two miles away, and had it moved to the farm at Frazer Comers. They attended Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Town of Lessor, Shawano County, three miles west of their home. Alice was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the ALC Church Women and a 4-H leader for 15 years,
When Fritz retired in 1973, Alice was employed at Evergreen Nursing Home in Shawano where she worked in the laundry and delivered clothes to patients. In 1976 they sold the bam and
acreage and kept their house. They sold the Johnson house to their
daughter Judy and her husband Fred Gueller.
Alice had an appendectomy on Thursday, September 7,
1972. On Saturday, September 9, 1972, she had surgery
again, as the doctors had found cancerous tumors in her
intestines. After suffering for almost five years, Alice passed
      away on June 23, 1977. ~ 0) 0
