Mrs. John J. [Agnes] Vanden Heuvel
Kaukauna
Passed away Thursday, March 18, 1999, at St. Paul Home, Kaukauna. She celebrated her 94th birthday on March 8. The former Agnes Hooyman and John VandenHeuvel were married June 15, 1926, at St. Nicholas Church, Freedom. They resided in Little Chute their entire married life and were members of St. John Parish. Agnes was an honorary member of the St. Elizabeth Society and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis.
She is survived by her children, Evelyn [Joseph] Bongers, Kaukauna; Sister Estelle, Manitowoc; Roy [Theresa] Darboy; Marlene [Karl] Sachs, Black Creek; Anne [Charles] Fluegel, Oshkosh; and Sister Maria of Jesus, Iron Mountain, Michigan. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a sister in-law, Mrs. John [Helen] Lamers, Wrightstown.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979; her parents, Frank and Anna Hooyman; two sisters, Rose Calnin, and Margaret VanDeraa; four brothers, Henry, Antone, Sylvester, and Nicholas; and her husband's three sisters, Christine Verhagen, Elizabeth Hietpas, and Rose Van Eperen, and four brothers, George, Peter, Martin and Simon.
The family will receive visitors at St. John Catholic Church, Pine St., Little Chute, from 11 a.m. today [Saturday] until the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to St. John Church, St. Paul Home, and the Carmelites, Iron Mountain.
