Thompson, Ann (Van Eperen) Ann Marie (Van Eperen) Thompson, age 68 of Colorado Springs, CO, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007. She was born Adriana (later changed to Ann) September 29, 1938, to the late Adrian and Irma (Thurston) Van Eperen in Appleton, where she was raised and went to school. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a masters degree in Psychology. For the past 30 some years she has resided in Nevada and Colorado. She was raised in her younger years by her foster parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nabbefeld. Most of her life was spent enjoying her children and grandchildren and when possible playing bingo.
She is survived by her six children: son, Chris of Appleton; and daughters: Dawn (Keith) LaMee and Debra of Colorado Springs; June Freyberg and Theresa Bustros (and friend Troy Plocar) both of Sheboygan; and Jacquelyn Harder of Mishiwaka, IN; and by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three brothers: Louis (Jeannine) Van Eperen of Combined Locks, Anthony Van Eperen of Milwaukee, and Roger (Norma) Van Eperen of Kaukauna; three sisters: Terry (Ron) Van Groll of Darboy; June (Floyd) Miller of Mackville; and Marian (Gordon) Becker of Hortonville; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by two brothers, Richard and Donald, and a sister, Theresa; and by her beloved granddaughter Raven Marie.
Ann's cremated remains will be returned to Appleton and a memorial service will be held later this month at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel. A memorial fund will be established in her name.
